We are delighted to bring you this one-off Cushion making workshop in the company of Linen & Latte.  Colour and Cloth is on the road this summer and our first stop is this gorgeous cafe and lifestyle store in Glengormley.

This is a one - off event and runs from 6- 9pm (3 hours) ... although if it proves to be popular we may come back for more!

LEVEL:  All levels are welcome...from Beginner to beyond

Workshop size:  We have room for 8.

Price: £40  BOOK NOW

This 3 hour evening workshop is the perfect way to settle into some soulful sewing. Combining machine and hand stitching techniques we will use Irish linen cloth to make 'The Button Cushion' as featured in the Merchant & Mills Sewing Book.

Merchant and Mills prides itself on 'good old fashioned sewing'.  Using traditional techniques and doing it well.  Linen and Latte stock a range of their haberdashery which can be purchased on the evening.

What to expect:

An evening of conversation, craft work and cushions.  Everyone will make their own single or 4 button cushion to take home.  Hand made and hand stitched with love.

Fabric, cushion fillers and buttons to cover are all included in the price. Coffee and cake will be available for purchase on the evening.

All machines and sewing equipment are provided.

About your tutor: Christine's mum taught her to sew when she was six, which means she has been sewing for over 36 years! She has over 25 years experience in fashion, film costume, and self employment in Northern Ireland. She teaches with patience, enthusiasm and encouragement at every step.  Our N.I Sewing Bee Angeline Murphy was once one of her dressmaking students. Since 2008 she has taught more than 2000 students.  She is addicted to cushions and great coffee!

The Venue: This one off event will be held in Linen & Latte.  We will be using 2 rooms upstairs.  One of which is called 'The Sewing Room' so a perfect location!
