Each class 'episode' is 2 1/2 hours long, which allows everyone time to complete the challenge. Some weeks the Sewing Bee challenge will be less than the duration of the class, in this case we can use the extra time to learn new skills, and to discuss the show.
Episode classes run for the duration of the show which is 6 weeks. The GBSB is aired Monday 16th May.
DATES FOR THE BIG BELFAST SEWING BEE are: 25th May, 1, 8, 15, 22, 29th June. This gives all contestants time to swot up by watching the show as it airs and also the repeat. (and of course on iplayer!)
OPEN TO ALL AMATEUR SEWERS* Maximum 4 places available.

The Great British Sewing Bee is back on our screens Monday 16th May for a fourth series. So to get Belfast buzzing with Sewing Bee excitement, Colour and Cloth is hosting their own 'Sewing Bee Sew A-long' classes.
The series starts on Monday 16th May and the classes commence Wednesday 25th May which gives you time to watch and learn from the show. Each week, one of the Sewing Bee challenges will be chosen to Sew A-long with. Within the class time, each student will sew and complete the challenge. Only no-one gets sent home! Although not officially a competition, the student with the best completed challenge will be acknowledged every week and a prize given.
Each weekly challenge will be issued the Tuesday after each episode is aired so each student has time to buy fabrics and do a little homework.
Materials and habadashery are not supplied. Each 'contestant' will be advised a shopping list for each challenge.
*In the official Sewing Bee application form, an amateur sewer is someone who does not earn money from their sewing skill.
