Christine would like to welcome everyone to Colour and Cloth. It is a shared space for students from all walks of life brought together by a love of sewing. We welcome friendship and fun in a relaxed but learning environment.

In our sewing space
We offer a respectful environment for everyone at our classes in both student - student and teacher - student relationships.
Everyone is treated equally in the class and equal time is given to each student. It should be expected in a class situation that students may work at a different pace, or that 1 student may require extra help on a certain subject. Our classes are maximum 5 students so everyone benefits from lots of tutor attention. Please read the class descriptions to ensure you book the level appropriate to your sewing journey requirements.
If you prefer to work at your own pace please consider private tuition.
If you feel that for any reason you will not feel comfortable around other students in a class situation then it is highly advisable that you book private tuition. It is the sole responsibility of the student and not Colour and Cloth to ensure that they are comfortable in their learning environment. If for any reason a class situation is booked, and the student becomes uncomfortable in a class with other students and chooses to leave the environment neither a full or partial refund will be given. Alternate private tuition will be an additional cost and not paid for out of the remainder of the group class.
REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Our right to cancel a workshop and / class
In exceptional cases we may have to cancel a workshop or class. If that does occur we will give you as much prior notice as possible and will refund your booking fee or see if we can accommodate you on an alternative date if you prefer. Unfortunately we cannot accept any liability for travel or other costs.
6 and 8 week Sewing Classes and Workshops
All class bookings are made online at www.colourandcloth.com. Classes are non refundable and non-transferable within 7 days notice of the class commencing. Alternate payment options are available, please email christine@colourandcloth to discuss.
Once classes have commenced refunds are not permitted. It is the sole responsibility of the student to insure that they are able to attend the class. If the student becomes unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances (e,g medical, personal, employment, holidays) they are not entitled to a refund.
If classes are missed due to non attendance and / or late arrival, this is done at the responsibility of the student. Missed classes and late arrivals will not be refunded or transferred.
Class credits will only be offered based on spaces available on alternate and same level classes. Class credits will be considered individually and only be used once. A minimum of 7 days notice must be given in order to accommodate. It is not guaranteed if all other classes are fully booked.
Please let me know if you are unable to make a class. This can be done by text message, Colour and Cloth facebook page or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Voicemail messages are not included as a means of class cancellation.
Private Tuition and Mentoring
Scheduled tuition and mentoring can be cancelled and re-arranged by the student up to 24 hours before the class time. Cancelled time-slots by the student less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full. Cancellation can be done by text message, Colour and Cloth facebook message or by emailing email@example.com. Voicemail messages are not included as a means of class cancellation. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours by the tutor, a complimentary class will be offered at an agreed date and time.
Dress Design and Alteration
We offer a service of bespoke dress design and also an alteration service. Initial consultation and first fittings are charged at £30/hour. This fee must be paid at the initial meeting. Subsequent fittings, design and making time will be invoiced before the final design is collected. The final fee must be paid in full before collection. An invoice will be emailed to the client with payment method stated. Once the garment (s) have been given a final fit, approved, signed off and collected, there is no further agreement with Colour and Cloth. Subsequent changes and ‘changes of mind’ will incur additional costs. All communication regarding this service should be made only by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
